FLORENCE PARK is a nostalgic fashion collection inspired by childhood summers and the special bond between the creator and their Nana. This project includes not only fashion but also homemade ice cream, with proceeds supporting Alzheimer's research in honor of the creator’s Nana, who has Alzheimer's.
The FLORENCE PARK: Cincinnati Summers collection is about more than just nostalgia for long summer days spent outdoors; it's also a deeply personal project. Inspired by the creator’s relationship with their Nana, this project includes not only fashion pieces but also homemade ice cream—a special bond the two shared. With Nana now living with Alzheimer's, this project is a way to bring their creations to the world, with proceeds going to support Alzheimer's research.
The fashion collection captures the essence of childhood summers: bike rides, football in the yard, waterparks, and ice cream shared with loved ones. It draws inspiration from coming-of-age movies from the late ’90s to early 2000s, as well as the music of Channel Orange and Flower Boy. Visually, the collection is filled with summer vibes, like sunsets and vintage ice cream parlor themes.
The designs include pieces like a one-off ice cream-themed shirt and a coach jacket with a Florence Park logo and a vintage ice cream cone graphic on the back. But the most unique part of this project is the homemade ice cream, which the creator learned to make using a custard method—something that brought them and their Nana closer together. The ice cream embodies their shared passion, and each batch is made with love and care.
By bringing together fashion, food, and a heartfelt story, FLORENCE PARK: Cincinnati Summers not only evokes the joy of summer but also supports a meaningful cause.
